Express Services Market Reach IDR 8 Trillion

Applicability of Act No. 38 year 2009 on the post this year opened an express delivery service companies increasingly expansive. Even this year, shipping logistics market to reach IDR 8 trillion (equivalent to USD 890 million) 

Executive Director of the Association of Indonesian Express Delivery Services (Asperindo) Syarifuddin said the Postal Law is enabling industry to rapidly growing delivery service. This industrial market continues to grow significantly.

He said there are three important things that are very profitable private enterprise to flourish.

"First, the monopoly of PT Pos for sending the letter and the postcard was removed, so we can work on it. Second, we can also work on remittances. And third foreign companies who want to enter Indonesia must share equity and local investors have to buy a controlling stake," said Syarifuddin in Jakarta, while watching the grace of the Indonesian Record Museum (Muri) to PT Expressindo System Networ (X-Sys), Wednesday (20/10). X-Sys subsidiary of All Total Transport (ATT) group is judged worthy to receive the Muri record. This is because being the only company courier services (Express), which opened a branch office simultaneously in 43 provincial capitals.

According to him, so much potential, each company could develop as much as possible.

Every year this shipping service industry increased by 10 percent.

He explained that in 2007 alone these services market to reach IDR 6 trillion and is now growing rapidly.

General Manager of PT Expressindo System Network (X-Sys) Arif Wahyudi said it is targeting revenue of Rp 50 billion for this shipping service.

He explained the service X-Sys newly opened already has 43 branch offices in all provinces in Indonesia.

"With the large potential that exists, we believe that in one year we were able to return capital investment," he said.

Arif said the opening of document delivery services by the government, it has targeted revenue 60 percent of all service X-Sys.

Now it is no longer a monopoly, so X-SYS ready to take advantage of as much as possible
